Fitness Class Schedule

The Fair Acres Family YMCA offers many land & water-based exercise classes per week.  Whether you are an advanced athlete or novice exerciser, come join us for a great workout in a non-intimidating atmosphere. Our group fitness classes are designed to challenge the intermediate / advanced participant and encourage the beginner.  Come join us and build a healthy lifestyle.

Class Descriptions

SilverSneakers Muscular Strength and Range of Movement: Have fun and move tot eh music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a SilverSneakers ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises.

Pilates
This class offers a total body workout that restores muscular balance to the lower back and abdominals. Enjoy the benefit of strengthening and stretching the body.

Yoga
Yoga encourages the mind-body connection and helps to develop focus, balance, strength, and flexibility. A non-competitive environment allows each individual to move at a comfortable pace.

Zumba
Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music. It utilizes the principals of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning. It is a mixture of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps

Abs, Butt & Gut Plus
This class is just how it sounds, a great workout for your middle section, your backside and PLUS the rest of those trouble areas that need toning.

Cycle Zone
This is a workout that will get your legs pumping while you ride flat road, hills, do sprints and intervals. A high energy, fast paced aerobic workout designed to get you in terrific shape, you will never get bored as each class will offer different challenges.
